First Agro uses sustainable growing practices. All crops are grown in safe, clean and environmentally friendly conditions. Our “earth friendly” growing practices ensure long term sustainability, efficient utilization of resources and respect for local bio diversity. We do everything we can to avoid using harmful chemicals and pesticides. Our quality control begins with premium and non-GMO seeds, nurtured and grown at our own facilities, ensuring complete control and consistency of quality from seed to fruit.
Greenhouse growing ensures optimal environmental and climatic conditions and provides the perfect mix of nutrients for our plants, yielding the highest quality produce.

Food Safety
We are deeply focused on the safety of our products. Our intensive Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program uses beneficial insects and natural bio agents to control pests. Our produce is grown in controlled environment eliminating the effects of dirt, animal waste used as fertilizer, acid rains, tainted runoff from other farms etc. We follow the guidelines and processes of Good Agriculture Practices (GAP) for production and adopt the Codex* standards for our production plan which ensures toxin and pesticide free produce, conforming to Codex Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) for Pesticides.

*The Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC) was established by the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Health Organization (WHO) to protect the health of consumers and ensure fair practices in food trade. More details of Codex and how the delivery of toxins and pesticides free produce will benefit you and families are listed under Food Safety can be downloaded here.

The Quality Assurance (QA) function has far reaching responsibilities in keeping with First Agro's emphasis on consistently providing superior quality products. We closely monitor the greenhouse growing environment with sophisticated control systems to manage & control temperature, light, humidity, water, and carbon dioxide levels within the greenhouse. Our quality assurance managers are trained in food safety principles and follow some of the most stringent principals set forth by the GAP.
